A Memorable Experience at The Road Ahead Tour

I recently attended Creation Entertainment's The Road Ahead Supernatural Convention in New Jersey. I want to share my experience with you. If you haven't watched Supernatural, what are you waiting for? You have 15 seasons filled with laughs, tears, and everything in between to enjoy. The show follows Sam and Dean Winchester, two brothers raised as monster hunters by their father.

The show quickly became one of my favorites. It explores themes of grief, parental issues, religious trauma, generational trauma, and the importance of found family. I recently finished the 15th season, and I'm still recovering from the ending. (IYKYK)

Of all the characters, Dean Winchester is the one I relate to the most. He embodies the responsibility of an older sibling. The parentification and trauma that come with that role resonate deeply with me. His use of sarcasm to cope with everything is something I admire. There’s more to say, but I’ll save the deeper discussions for another time—no “chick flick moments” here!

Meeting the Stars

During the convention, I had the chance to meet Mark Sheppard, who plays Crowley. He was extremely funny and down to earth. I also met David Haydn-Jones, who plays Ketch. He was equally friendly. The environment at this convention felt different from Comic Con or Fan Expo. The actors were all approachable, happy to be there, and genuinely humble. It truly felt like a family reunion.

A Special Moment with Jensen Ackles

One of the highlights of my experience was taking a photo with Jensen Ackles, who plays Dean. Receiving a hug from my comfort character was unforgettable. Both he and Jared Padalecki were warm and willing to hug all of us, which meant a lot.
