Apprentice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer was yet another delightful read. We get more giddy moments, more Villain and Evie being utterly adorable, more witty banter, more found family moments, more Kingsley, and so much more of everything we loved from the first book. I was excited to finally figure out who the mysterious knight was, and I loved getting even more POVs to dive into the other characters heads. We get to finally spent more time with Evie’s sister, Lyssa, who fits into our office family perfectly. There really isn’t a character I didn’t want to hear from or about. Evie’s character growth is something I enjoyed experiencing along with her, and she remains such a badass despite what she may think of herself. We get to adventure outside of the manor and meet a whole cast of new characters that furthers this plot along perfectly although they made me want to throw my book across the room; regardless, I couldn’t help but love Becky more than I did in book one and same goes for the rest of our office family. It was action packed from page 1, and I couldn’t read it fast enough. Easily a 5 star read from start to finish. I need the next book yesterday cause their destiny is what?!?! That ending too.
