4.5 ✨
Although it was slow and confusing at the start, as soon as the plot picked up it did not release me from its clutches. I enjoyed getting to visit new places, and really get to spend some time with quadrants. I adored each and every "side" character and their relationships and banter. Xaden continues to be the ultimate book boyfriend. His love for Violet made this book so much better. There is no doubt in anyones mind that those two are destined for one another. That man just knows how to get a girl weak at the knees:
“My loyalty is to Violet first above everything, everyone else.”
“And he’s not my boyfriend.” Rhi snorts and Ridoc offers me a sarcastic thumbs-up. “Agreed,” Xaden says. “That’s far too casual a term for what we are.”
“I’m jealous of the armor that holds you when I can’t, the sheets on your bed that caress your skin every night, and the blades that feel your hands.”
Shall, I continue. The dragons pulled on my heart strings this book. Andarna, my precious little adolescent dragon, you deserve everything and more. Tairn, I need a grumpy old man dragon on my side asap.
The plot twists and answers were only followed by more questions, so I'm going to need the next book stat.
That ending will haunt me till I have the next book in my hands. What do you mean, "I did what YOU asked." I didn't ask for anything. Please tell me what the hell happened in those 12 hours. The ring...? Rebecca I want to see the deleted footage now. You're telling me there was a wedding and I don't get to be part of it...
I fear for the future of these characters and future me who has to deal with what ever else Rebecca throws at these characters.
